It is suitable for the long-term replacement treatment of congenital hypothyroidism (cretinism) and hypothyroidism caused by various reasons in children and adults. It can also be used for the suppression (and replacement) treatment of simple goiter, chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis and thyroid cancer after operation. Sometimes it can be used for the adjuvant treatment of hyperthyroidism, and it can also be used for the diagnosis of thyroid disease The inhibition test of glandular hyperfunction.
Contraindication:
Hyperthyroidism caused by various reasons is forbidden. However, after drug treatment, thyroid function can be restored to normal, it can be combined with this drug. Hyperthyroidism patients should not be combined during pregnancy. Precautions for patients with coronary heart disease, heart failure or rapid arrhythmia, we must pay attention to avoid the mild hyperthyroidism caused by excessive use of levothyroxine. Hypothyroidism secondary to pituitary diseases must be determined whether it is accompanied by adrenocortical insufficiency. If it exists, glucocorticoids must be given first. Taking levothyroxine sodium tablets has no obvious effect on driving, operating machines and general work. Pregnant women and lactating women should pay special attention to the use of thyroxine during pregnancy and lactation; it is not suitable to use levothyroxine and antithyroid drugs in the treatment of hyperthyroidism during pregnancy, because levothyroxine can increase the dosage of antithyroid drugs. Unlike levothyroxine, antithyroid drugs can reduce fetal thyroid function through the placenta. The dosage of levothyroxine sodium tablets for elderly patients must be very careful. It should start from a small dose, and the interval of dose increase should be longer, that is, the dosage should be increased slowly, and the blood thyroxine level should be monitored regularly.
Drug interactions::
1. The use of levothyroxine may enhance the effect of anticoagulants and reduce the effect of hypoglycemic drugs.
2. Xiaocholamine and levothyroxine are used at the same time. Xiaocholamine can inhibit the absorption of levothyroxine. The interval between taking xiaocholamine and levothyroxine should be 4-5 hours.
3. Rapid intravenous injection of phenytoin may increase the plasma concentrations of free levothyroxine and triiodothyronine, and lead to arrhythmia in some cases.
4. Salicylate, dicoumarin, high dose furosemide (250mg) and antomin can promote the conversion of levothyroxine from its plasma protein binding site.
Side effects:
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to levothyroxine: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

vomiting, diarrhea, appetite changes, weight changes.
