Usage and dosage

Tropisetron hydrochloride can be used for up to 6 days in any chemotherapy cycle.
Children: generally, it is not recommended for children. If necessary, the following dosage can be used:
2 mg / kg, up to 5 mg / day for children over 2 years old.
The drug was given intravenously on the first day; the drug was dissolved in 100 ml of common infusion solution (such as normal saline, Ringer's solution or 5% glucose solution) and given by rapid intravenous drip or slow intravenous injection before chemotherapy, and orally on the second to sixth day.
Oral administration for children: take an appropriate amount of tropisetron hydrochloride injection from ampoules, dilute it with orange juice or cola, and take it immediately when you get up in the morning (at least 1 hour before breakfast).
Adults: the recommended dose for adults is 5mg / day, once a day, and the course of treatment is 6 days
Intravenous administration on the first day: dissolve 5mg (1 ampoule) of the product in 100ml of commonly used infusion solution (such as normal saline, Ringer's solution or 5% glucose solution) for rapid intravenous drip or slow intravenous injection before chemotherapy.
The second to the sixth day can be changed to oral administration, in the morning when you get up (at least 1 hour before breakfast) with water delivery.
Application for patients with poor metabolism: during the 6-day application, there is no need to reduce the dose.
Application in patients with liver or renal insufficiency: there was no change in the pharmacokinetics of tropisetron hydrochloride in patients with acute hepatitis or fatty liver. However, the plasma concentration of the drug in patients with liver cirrhosis or renal insufficiency is about 50% higher than that in healthy volunteers. However, there is no need to reduce the dosage if the dosage regimen of 5mg / day for six days is used.

side effect
Tropisetron hydrochloride is generally well tolerated, and the adverse reactions at the recommended dose are transient. The most frequently reported adverse reactions were constipation induced by 5mg (11%), which were more common in slow metabolizers than in normal metabolizers. Other common adverse reactions were headache, dizziness, dizziness, fatigue and gastrointestinal dysfunction, such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. There are also cases of collapse, syncope and cardiac arrest, but the causal relationship with tropisetron hydrochloride is still uncertain. There are also reports of one or more of the following types of allergic reactions: facial flushing and / or generalized rash, chest compression, dyspnea, acute bronchospasm and hypotension.
