It is used for pneumonia and skin and soft tissue infection caused by penicillin resistant Staphylococcus.
Usage and dosage
Take it orally on an empty stomach.
Adult: general infection: 0.5-1.0g at a time; severe patients: 1-1.5g at a time, 3-4 times a day.
Children: according to the weight of 70-100mg / kg, 3-4 times a day.
Neonate: 120 mg per day for those weighing less than 2.5 kg; 160 mg per day for those weighing more than 2.5 kg.
Patients with mild or moderate renal dysfunction need not adjust the dose, and patients with severe renal dysfunction should avoid large dose to prevent central nervous system toxicity.
Adverse reactions
Mainly for gastrointestinal reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea, loss of appetite and so on. Drug eruption, drug fever and other allergic reactions can also be seen. The serum aminotransferase was increased in some cases, and the symptoms disappeared after drug withdrawal. The nervous system reaction, such as pumped storage, spasm, unconsciousness, headache and so on, can appear in large dose application. Neutropenia or agranulocytosis are occasionally seen, which may cause bleeding tendency in patients with specific constitution. Acute interstitial nephritis with renal failure has also been reported. Candida albicans secondary infection can occur in a few cases.
