diabetes test paper
The patient's urine sugar test paper is used to check their own urine sugar. According to the principle that glucose forms gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide under the catalysis of glucose oxidase, hydrogen peroxide forms water and atomic oxygen under the catalysis of catalase, and atomic oxygen can oxidize certain colorless compounds into colored compounds, the above two enzymes and colorless compounds are fixed on the paper strip to make the enzyme test paper for testing urine sugar content.
Urine sugar reflects the average blood glucose concentration during urine collection. Glucose is leached out in glomeruli and reabsorbed in proximal tubules. Dip the reagent end of the test strip into the container containing fresh urine for about 2 seconds, and then take it out. Compare the color of the reagent end of the test strip with the standard shade board on the test bottle, and roughly determine the urine sugar content according to the same color.
Testing Method:
step 1: Remove a test strip, taking care not to touch the reaction fields.
step 2: Immediately close the container again.
This protects the remaining test strips from humidity and guarantees strip integrity up to the expiry date indicated.
step 3: Dip the test strip for about 1 second into the fresh urine specimen.
Wipe off any excess urine on the rim of the vessel and blot the edge of the test strip on tissue paper.
step 4: Read the result by comparing the test fields with the color scale on the test pack after 30 to 60 seconds.
Keep away from light and moisture.
Promptly replace cap after taking out strips.
Do not remove desiccants.
Do not tough test areas of reagent strips.
Use it within the expiration date.
Read insert carefully before use.
