Product Description

Product information:
Product name Captopril tablets
 Shelf Life  36 Months
Specifications 25mg
Storage Keep in dark and sealed
Pharmacology:
This product is a competitive angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, which makes angiotensin I * t be converted into angiotensin II, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance, and inhibiting aldosterone secretion and reducing water and sodium retention. It can also distend peripheral blood vessels by interfering with the degradation of bradykinin. For patients with heart failure, it can also reduce pulmonary capillary wedge pressure and pulmonary vascular resistance, increase cardiac output and exercise tolerance time.

Pharmacokinetics:
The absorption rate is above 75%. The effect began 15 minutes after oral administration and reached the peak concentration in blood 1-1.5 hours. It lasted for 6-12 hours. In the blood circulation, 25% - 30% of the product is bound to protein. The half-life is shorter than 3 hours. When the renal function is impaired, drug retention will occur. * The antihypertensive effect was progressive and reached the maximum therapeutic effect in a few weeks. It is metabolized to disulfide in liver. About 40% ~ 50% of the product is excreted by the kidney, and the rest is metabolite, which can be removed during hemodialysis.

Indication:
(1) Hypertension;
(2) heart failure.

Taboo:
It is forbidden for those allergic to this product or other angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.

Matters needing attention:
1. The food in the stomach can reduce the absorption by 30% - 40%, so it is better to take medicine one hour before meals.
2. This product can increase the concentration of blood urea nitrogen and creatinine, which is usually temporary. It is easy to appear after the rapid drop of blood pressure due to kidney disease or long-term severe hypertension, and occasionally the increase of serum liver enzymes; it may increase blood potassium, especially when combined with potassium sparing diuretics.
3. Use this product with caution in the following situations:
(1) Autoimmune diseases, such as severe systemic lupus erythematosus, have an increased chance of leukopenia or neutropenia.
(2) Myelosuppression.
(3) Cerebral artery or coronary artery blood supply is insufficient, because blood pressure drops and ischemia aggravates.
(4) Blood potassium is too high.
(5) renal dysfunction leads to increased potassium levels, leukocytes and granulocytic cells, and * retention of this product.
(6) Aortic stenosis may reduce coronary perfusion.
(7) Severe hypotension may occur when sodium salt is strictly restricted in diet or dialysis.
4. Follow up examination during using this product:
(1) White blood cell count and differential count, once every two weeks for the first three months, and then check regularly, and check immediately when there are signs of infection;
(2) The urine protein was examined once a month.
5. Patients with poor renal function should use small dose or reduce the number of administration, and increase slowly; if diuretics should be used at the same time, should be used instead of thiazide. When blood urea nitrogen and creatinine increase, the product should be reduced or diuretics should be stopped at the same time.
6. If proteinuria increases gradually when using this product, suspend the product or reduce the dosage.
7. If the white blood cell count is too low when using this product, stop using this product and it can be recovered.
8. In case of neurovascular edema, the drug should be stopped and 0.3-0.5ml of 1:1000  should be injected subcutaneously.
9. This product can cause false positive urine acetone test.
