It is suitable for infection caused by sensitive bacteria. Upper respiratory tract infection: tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media. Lower respiratory tract infection: acute and chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia and bronchitis, empyema, etc.
Usage and dosage
Take orally 0.5-1 hour before meal or 2 hours after meal. Adults and children over 10 years old: 0.5-1g once, 4 times a day; in case of severe infection, take more times or follow the doctor's advice.
Adverse reactions
The adverse reactions of this product are similar to those of penicillin, especially allergic reactions. The most common reaction is rash, which usually occurs 5 days after medication, presenting with urticaria or macular papule; interstitial nephritis can also occur; anaphylactic shock is occasionally seen, once it occurs, it must be rescued on the spot.
2 neutropenia and thrombocytopenia are occasionally seen in patients treated with ampicillin sodium.
Antibiotic associated enteritis is rare.
A few patients had elevated serum transaminase and cholestatic jaundice.
