Cloxacillin Sodium for Oral Suspension

This product is mainly used for the treatment of mild and moderate infections caused by penicillinase producing and methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus, such as bone, respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue infections.
Usage and dosage
5 g for adults, 4 times a day. Children were given 25-50 mg / kg of body weight four times a day.
Adverse reactions
1. Allergic reaction, urticaria and other kinds of skin rashes are common, and a few patients may have leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attack and serological type reaction (type III allergic reaction). Individual patients may have anaphylactic shock. Once anaphylactic shock occurs, they must be rescued on the spot, keep the airway unblocked, inhale oxygen,glucocorticoid and other treatment measures.
2. A few patients may have abdominal distension, loss of appetite, and even nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms.
3. Individual patients may have leukopenia or cholestatic jaundice.
4. Occasionally, Candida or gram negative bacilli caused double infection.
contraindication
Skin test should be done before medication
1. Patients with asthma, eczema, hay fever, urticaria and other allergic diseases should use this product with caution.
2. It is necessary to inquire about drug allergy history and conduct penicillin skin test before using this product.
3. Patients allergic to one penicillin may be allergic to other penicillins or penicillamine. In the past, patients with penicillin anaphylactic shock may be cross allergic to cephalosporins.
4. There is no need to adjust the dosage of this product for patients with mild to moderate renal dysfunction, but the dosage should be appropriately reduced for patients with severe renal dysfunction.
